[0:00] All right, and thanks again for tuning back into the Inner Power Podcast. I'm Pete Williams. I'm your host. And today, we're going to go down the good old learning path. I'm just going to teach you and pass on some knowledge, some hints and tips around something that is simple, yet super, super effective in helping you to decipher with your own energy and start working with the greater energy and yourself.
[0:33] So before we go into all of that, we just need to establish a few basic things. The first one we're going to look at is your intuition. So intuition is something that I truly believe that every single one of us on the planet has and we do use whether we're fully conscious of it or not. That's a different question. But believe it or not, intuition is very primal. It's automatically geared. It does happen to us. And I also believe, obviously, a lot of, you know, fauna also have that. That's why they have these senses when things happen.
[1:17] You know, the animal kingdom in that world react to it a lot faster and quicker and sometimes prior to things actually happening because they pick up or sense things way before they actually do happen or before they do so big things like that you start thinking like either tsunamis earthquakes or big shifts and changes you see like animals really reacting to these situations so whether they pick up low vibration frequencies from earthquakes so the ultra low frequencies ULF they pick up on these things and that registers intuition
[1:50] signaling danger and that makes them respond and kind of react. Now, us as humans, we also have that. There are a lot of great stories out there about how intuition does occur or how it happens.
[2:05] You might just have it very simply. So, you could be using it going, I feel like this, like, you know how we might have a body craving.
[2:14] We call it craving going, hey, I really feel like eating bread. I know sometimes there have been moments where it's like, bread, I just really want bread for whatever reason. Don't know why, but we'll listen to it and then go off. That's more of an instinctual thing. Okay, that's instinct. Intuition goes a little bit further where it becomes about a feeling. So, intuition is something that we all have and it's about a feeling that's telling us whether we should do something or it could be telling us not to do something. It's just going to depend on the situation.
[2:46] The downside about intuition, though, is it's relatively unconscious. It's subconscious. It happens more or less to us. It will happen for us to help us, but when it's actually happening, it's happening to us.
[3:04] So, there's very little control over the immediate intuitive hit. So we have those things it's like so that's the base standard so when we are using that it's good you can say some people are very very intuitive and like they pick up on these things intuition i tend to find very easy to recognize especially when you're around people or meeting people you tend to get an immediate feeling it's not what you think you have to remember that when we're talking about intuition you have to get yourself out of your head it's a feeling so that's what intuition is but then what is we're going to kind of take that a level up, we're going to start making it a little bit more interactive.
[3:53] We're going to start looking and going, how can we start making the intuition a little bit more conscious in our life to a point where how about or wouldn't it be nice if we could start talking to ourselves or start working with the energy a little bit closer rather than just letting it hit us when it's, you know, really kicking in. So, this is about learning the energetics, bringing it from that subconscious, from that primal programming, and we're going to now take that, make it conscious, and start working with it so we can understand. This is something that I take a lot of my students through because it's fundamental. If you're looking to develop any kind of energetics, work in vibration, frequency, channeling, healing, any of these things, this is fundamentals. It's something that really is important and it's very, very powerful once you learn it. And I was just kind of inspired to go, cool, let's have a look at this. So, the first thing you have to do when you're looking to work with the yes and no's is you have to start being active in the conversation.
[5:17] That's right. When we're doing this, you're going to have to start treating the situation as a conversation. You're going to have to realize that you are a part of the process. So, where it gets tricky is because now we're making ourselves part of the process. That means our head is going to get involved.
[5:44] The downside to that is when our head gets involved, guess what? We tend to overthink things. We will tend to analyze things. And then we start to get into our ego, which is our brain specifically trying to protect us or steer us in a direction towards things that we would like or that we want.
[6:08] And then that can really stuff up the results. So, we need the head to actively and consciously get involved, but we need to remove the ego part of it, and then we need to kind of just compartmentalize it, push it to the side, and say, you sit over there while we do this work. No different to talking to a child. You just go sit down over there and draw while mummy and daddy go and have the adult conversation kind of situation.
[6:45] But that's what we're needing to do. It's becoming active. It's becoming aware. It's becoming conscious. But when we're saying removing the ego, this is about not getting attached to the outcome. All right, that's the key. You have to do your best to remain neutral, impartial, and in that middle lane, unattached. As soon as you get attached to an outcome, you're going to get the part of the brain, which is called confirmation bias. That's the ego part. it jumps in to your learning or the situation or the conversation and it's going to really guide you to what you want to hear, not necessarily what you are hearing or what you need to hear or feel, sense or receive. So this is something that you need to be really, really mindful of. If you find yourself at any point...
[7:56] Getting into that self-doubt talk, that's okay. Catch yourself going, you know what, I'm doubting this. That's okay. Then just step back. Just kind of go, right, I'm going to stop this, have a break, come back and retry.
[8:12] So, the best way to start this process is doing something simple. I'm going to give you two exercises here to work with. You can try them in your own time, in your own way one is going to be a little bit more what's the word i'm looking for simple a little bit less interactive i suppose but it's more like you're gonna be there and there's no.
[8:45] Real i'm trying to find the word because i'm like trying to prime you for this but I'm not finding the words here. But we're going to have two exercises here that I'm going to take you through. So number one is far more present. It's far more physical. So you're going to have something in front of you, something to kind of keep your brain distracted. And it's a great exercise because you really should not have any attachment to the outcome. So that's what I'm to get at here with the first one. The second exercise that I'm going to, like, teach you and take you through is the opposite of that. It's going to be far more, you know, intangible. It's going to be far more energetic. And it's going to be about working with the energy. The downside of that is there's more risk of self-doubt. There's more risk of your ego getting involved and getting attached to an outcome.
[9:48] So, but I'll walk you through each one as it happens and as we get there. Okay. So, the first one, this is an exercise I take people through in the Awaken Intuition course. Right. it. It's always a fun one. It's a simple one, but it can be a little challenging. I have seen students in the past struggle with this and that's okay because, again, we're taking something that is subconscious and we're unaware of and trying to bring it to the surface. Now, what you're going to do, this exercise involves you in the morning or after your shower, whenever you're needing to get ready for something, okay? So, it could be just getting ready for the day, like for example, going to work or on your day off or you're going out somewhere, okay, I'm getting ready to do something, whatever it may be. However, please allow time.
[10:49] Don't kind of do this exercise and you're like, I've got to get ready in five minutes. No, this exercise doesn't work like that. You're going to give yourself some time. You may very well need up to 10 to 15 minutes to give yourself the space necessary to do this. So, all you are going to do is at the time that you're getting ready, so pre-plan, give yourself that 10, 15-minute window, and then make sure you're really not going to, get interrupted. You kind of want to have a little bit of self-time because you've got to remember, this is a very self-developing internal process. So, you need space and time. You don't want a lot of background. You don't want like, you know, partners going, hurry up or, you know, kids going, hey, mom, dad. You don't want that. You just want to be able to do this in your own time, in your own way. So, what I want you to do is when you've pre-planned that and you're getting ready to do this, simply go to your wardrobe, open up the cupboards, open up the drawers. And when you're there, when you're in front of them, you are going to ask yourself, ask the deeper part of yourself, what is it that I want to wear today?
[12:11] And you're going to have to wait until you intuitively feel a pull or your eyes might glance at a particular item on a coat hanger. You're like, I don't know why, but it's that one. Or it may pop up into your mind. It might go, blue jacket, or it might be like, pink boots, whatever it was. Sorry pink boots came up from a client of mine at the most recent retreat and i was just like it was like it was i said to her i said they're awesome but she goes i felt like wearing them that is what we're looking for and when i said to her i said i love it because that's why because, they're awesome they suit you attention your energy everything she goes i think so too because i don't usually wear them but i wanted to wear them today that is the kind of answer And you see how it's like a conscious thought mixed with a feeling. That is what you're looking for. That's the kind of feeling that you're looking for. Now, here's where it's going to get tricky. Quite often, you can be standing there and you may not get anything. That's okay. But you just should wait.
[13:26] Now, if you have been waiting for past, let's say, five minutes and you're really not feeling it, then we can get a little bit more interactive with this exercise. And by that, I mean, great. Now, let's start getting into yes and no's.
[13:46] So what you're going to do is let's just say your wardrobe and you can see all your clothes hanging up on coat hangers you can do this for items and drawers or whatever they might be however they might be laid out you can do this with boots shoes doesn't matter but we're going to get interactive and what i mean by is let's say you've got your clothes on the clothes hangers.
[14:04] You're going to pick out something that you might normally wear let's just say my case it might be the white polo shirt i am going to take that out i'm going to hold it in front of myself and then say do i want to wear the white polo shirt today and then you are going to then wait to see whether you feel good about it you feel neutral about it or you could very well go it's definitely not that you're going to have to get a feeling for your feelings i know this sounds really weird but again guys we're dealing with intangible things and for many of you trying this it's gonna sound crazy this is gonna be cuckoo but i can guarantee you if you're wanting to improve like your intuitive factor if you're wanting to improve your awareness raise your vibration frequency and start tuning in a little bit more then this definitely does work so you can do that with each item, okay? So, white polo shirt. If you're not really getting a yes, then you can kind of work with the assumption that it's a no.
[15:24] And so, therefore, you put that one back and then you pick up the next one. You might be going, okay, it's the long sleeve checkered shirt. Do I want to wear this one today? And all of a sudden, you get a funny feeling or butterflies in your stomach or you might get shivers down your shoulders and your arms and you go, okay. Now, here's where it's hard. You might look at this checkered shirt going, I really don't like this checkered shirt. I hate this checkered shirt. But now it's saying yes to the thing that I hate. Well, guess what? If it is, I can only say, please, please, please, please trust it. there will be something in it for you now here's the thing, So in your conscious mind, you know, this lovely little top part of yourself and top part of your body, you might say to yourself, I really don't like this checkered shirt. However, on a deeper level, on a very deep soul level, you might go, you know what? I love checkered shirts and I think I rock it. So it's almost like you've got this different part of your personality because you might have really wrapped yourself up in some beliefs around certain clothing items that are in your wardrobe.
[16:51] These could exist, for example, I don't look good on them. I am fat in them, too thin in them, doesn't, you know, show off, shows off my love handles or it's, you know, hey, like this one's too tight and the buttons start, whatever. Or it could be like, check's just so might not thing or as it doesn't bring out the color of my eyes whatever you are telling yourself and it might have been someone else tell you something not so positive about it that's made you kind of don't wear it again but you see how very quickly we will take on things and stop listening to what's actually nice and works for us and we start feeling all of our minds with and making decisions based on things that aren't real so that's why it's really important that whenever you get your answer with this exercise you need to trust it now with this very physical exercise it's like i said it's good because you can have tangible items and you can start working with each items what you'll find is if you're starting your journey with energetics or you're looking to improve your like connection with the energetics and trying to make it a little bit more conscious.
[18:08] You're going to start having to work out it's a language like i said it was a converse it's a conversation that you're having and you need to partake in it however when you first start out, You will find that keeping the question open-ended is hard.
[18:28] You may not really receive anything. And what I mean by that, let's go back to the wardrobe. You've opened up the cupboard and now you're saying, hey, what would I like to wear today? There is a huge array of items from you to, or from your intuition to select from. But it's so many that it's very hard for it to express to you exactly what it is.
[18:56] So how do we avoid that? We then break it down into yes and no's. This is what we call the closed questions. They are wonderful when you're trying to do any form of channeling or energetic work. Closed questions, closed energetic loops make it so much easier for the energy to work with us and for us to work with it. So when you pull out the white polo, do I want to wear this yes or no? It's simple. It's direct. It's to the point and uncomplicated. This is very helpful for when we're working like this. The other beautiful reason why we're working with closed questions is that more often than not, when we're looking to receive a feeling, is that we will most likely only ever get a feeling in one direction or with one answer. What do I mean by that? Simple.
[20:00] Bring out the white polo shirt. Do I want to wear the white polo shirt today?
[20:08] I'm listening. And then I ask myself... Yes, I want to wear this today. And I might get the goosebumps. Boom. There's my answer. There's the reaction. There's the feeling. It's a yes.
[20:24] However, if I say I'm yes and there's nothing happening, guess what? That means it's a no. I don't have to ask the no question. I'm getting the no by asking the yes. Are you following? Are you keeping up with me? Hopefully, this is not too confusing. But what I mean by there is it's like you will ask, do I want to wear this today? If you're not getting a yes, more often that will be a no. You could be the other way around in terms of if you can ask the no and you might get confirmations of no. This is part of the process about learning how it's going to work for you and which answers happen for you. Now, in my experience and for the majority of the students that I've taught over the years with this, what you'll find is that a confirmation or a yes energetically will come via a physical feeling or confirmation for a yes. So, you might get butterflies in your stomach. You might feel a warmth in your chest. You might get the goosebumps or it's like the real big shiver. Whatever it may be, you're going to have to pay attention to what it is, but like I said, majority of people will respond to a yes.
[21:51] What I tend to find is when I'm asking questions and channeling, if I'm not receiving any confirmation or getting any movement forward, it's what I call the energy dies, okay? Like the energy of it just drops. If it drops for me, that's a no. That lets me know I'm asking the wrong question or it's I'm looking in the wrong spot or I'm looking at the wrong item in terms of clothes, okay? So, this is how you can do this. Now, if you really want to practice this and you're looking to take this seriously because this is what I'm asking my students and here I am, I'm asking you, you can do the same right here just by doing this. Practice this for five to seven days in a row. That's right, in a row. You will find the first few days very, very difficult, but what you'll find is by day five, six, seven, you're probably starting to get a feeling. You're starting to get a hang of it. That's what we're looking for because we're activating parts of yourself that have been subconscious and dormant for so long. It's going to take some time. This is no different to whatever hand you write with. But for example, I write with my right hand, I can still write with my left. It's just nowhere near as good, neat, or fast.
[23:16] So that doesn't mean I can't write with it. And it doesn't mean I can't be good, neat, and fast. It's just going to mean I need to practice a lot more with that. And if I do, I will develop. It will get better. It will get faster. The same thing here will happen with your energetics. So that's the first exercise. Like I said, that's very, very, very tangible. It's very, very physical and it helps. And pretty much, yeah, it doesn't matter where you are on your energetic spectrum, whether you're like, okay, I'm going to give this a go versus I've been doing this for a while. Everybody can do it. It's a great one to start with. That's why I recommend it. And that's why I do teach it. And you know what? It can be a lot of fun. Do it with a friend as a challenge or do it with your partner as a challenge. It's surprising what will come up. and the whole thing is don't get attached to the answer, right? Just because you don't like the checkered shirt doesn't mean there's not a reason why it's calling to you. No different to the lovely client of mine who had the spink, the lovely sparkly pink shoes, right? There's a new word. I've invented a new word. If it's sparkling and pink, it's spink, right?
[24:30] So, when you got that, I don't know why. I wanted to wear them today. See, having that feeling and saying that sentence, means I'm paying attention to a feeling that I'm having, I'm listening to it, but I'm not attached to the outcome or reason. Very, very powerful. So, that's what we're looking for.
[24:50] Now, once you've had a go at that, then I can say, hey, let's have a look at task number two, exercise number two.
[24:58] Going a little bit intangible here, and this is if you're interested in doing the channeling, okay? A little bit of basic channeling. This is actually how I started all those years ago when I was 13, 14. Really, really simple. Even before you start this process, know that you're always going to be safe. Know you're not going to be calling anything negative in because that defeats the purpose of what we're doing here. It's just purely having that trust and you're calling in some beautiful, loving energy. And what you're going to do, you're going to be calling in your guides, you can be calling in your angels, you know, but working with an energy that you're not attached to.
[25:36] Again, can't stress this enough. Whatever you do, don't get caught up in calling in a past loved one. Don't do it. That's you, your emotion, and your ego wanting something. And because of that fact, you'll be attached to the outcome. You'll jump into analysis paralysis and it can lead you down a very, very weird, wacky path that you don't want. Stay neutral. Neutrality is your friend. So, you're literally just calling in a guide. And most of you, if you're practicing this, you probably are interested in guides. You might know you have guides, but you've never really met them or you can't connect with them. This is an exercise just to start the energetic process and helping you to externalize and to feel the energy one step further than what we just practiced with the wardrobe.
[26:32] So this one's pretty simple, very, very straightforward. But it can be even more frustrating. So, don't say, I didn't warn you. So, what you're going to do in this instance, again, have some space, have some time, just be by yourself, no disruptions around. Again, you don't really want any more than five to 10 minutes here. You don't need an hour or anything like this. This is just simple. This is very, very, very fundamental level stuff. Five to 10 minutes. After that, just stop. Don't push yourself. So the whole thing here is once you've got yourself in that space and time, all you're wanting to do, you can be laying down, you can be sitting up, you can sit in the office chair like I am right now. It does not matter. Whatever you do, don't do this when you're driving though, don't, or operating heavy machinery. But the whole thing is you just want some nice quiet time. And then you're just simply going to say to your guys or to your angels or to the universe, You can simply say, are you there? That's it. That's all you're going to do. That's it. So simple. So effective. Are you there?
[27:40] And by just asking that, you're waiting for a yes. You're waiting for the universe. You're waiting for your guides. You are waiting for your angels. You are waiting for them to talk to you in terms of you're waiting for them to have their side of the conversation and you're looking for that sign, symbol or feeling. We're going to bring this into the body. So when you're doing this, are you there? Let me know. And you can point or you can talk out. Let me know through a feeling in my body. The more specific you can get, the better.
[28:21] But don't harness it just going, oh, give me the goosebumps. Don't be like that. You want to create space to receive your own. But say, oh, make me aware in my body, are you here? You might get a light tickle on your feet. You might feel like someone's playing with your hair or someone's pulling on your ear. Whatever it may be, you have to be open to what it is and you need to acknowledge when it's coming through. This is going to be a little bit of a process. Again, practicing this over the course of five to seven days. You might not get anything at first. It's probably because you're wanting it too much. But the more you become unattached to the outcome, the more that you will receive. It's a tricky, tricky balance and business to work out because more often than not, when we jump into these things, we want to feel them. We want them to be around. We want them to connect with us because want, want, want, want, want. But that's the ego getting in the way and the ego looking to attach itself to go, yes, look, see, told you, they're here. No, you've got to remain neutral. You've got to remain in a receiving mode and allow it to come. The only active part you are playing in this exercise is asking the questions. If you're not receiving anything immediately after a minute or two, ask the question again.
[29:48] Wait a couple of minutes. If still nothing, ask the question again. If you're not really receiving anything within five to 10 minutes, stop. But that's okay. Have a rest. Sleep it off. Try again the next day.
[30:03] This is the biggest part about doing this. You can't give up and you have to keep going and you must try and try and try. It is a muscle. You're starting to use it. No different to writing with your left hand or your non-master hand. If you're left-handed, you'll be like, I'll write with my left hand. But it doesn't matter which way it is, you're going to start to exercise it. You're going to start to strengthen it. So, yes, now we can write better. We can write neater. We can write faster. All of these things. It's a muscle and you're taking it from subconscious to conscious.
[30:42] And so, that's going to take a little bit of time. so these are the two exercises that you can try and of course have a good run of them but also if it's too much take a break and then have what i mean take a break it's not just hey try the next day by taking a break if it's not working for you give it a week off go and have fun don't get so serious. If you take it too seriously, you're going to get attached to it. It's a tricky thing, but it's something to learn. And these are just a couple of exercises that I wanted to teach you because fingers crossed, if you give these a go and you genuinely give them a go.
[31:26] You'll be able to start to learn what your energetic yes or no's are. And if you can get that, guess what? All of a sudden, when you're starting to ask decisions and you're thinking about things about your future or other people, you're going to be so much more aware of what feels good, what's a yes and what's a no. And it just feels like, I don't know why, but I really feel like this is a good thing to do. Or you might get a job offer. No, I'm just really not feeling it. And when you have that and you've been actively practicing, those feelings become so strong. You trust it way more. And guess what? You can avoid pitfalls, hard lessons because you are being active.
[32:12] So two exercises there to take you through. They're going to take some time, but they're definitely things that you can practice on your own, practice in your own time and learn your own energetic yeses and noes. And I tell you what, if you can get a hold of that, and don't give up on yourself, but if you can get a hold of that, boy, oh boy, a whole new world will open up for you. And that's, I really do hope, because that's what I want for you, because it's amazing. This is the exercise that I started with, and who would have ever thought it was going to take me to where I am today? So, hey, open up the door, say hello, you never know where it's going to get you. Again, thanks for tuning in. And of course, let us know how you're going with the exercises. Feel free to DM on the socials or hit us up on the email. And again, thanks for listening and tuning in.
